Richard Basi

Richard has played for dancers in London, here on the West Coast, East Coast, and many places in between, but his mainstay is in Portland, Oregon, where he now lives. He's been regularly Swinging the dance music there for five years.

Over the past few years, he has featured at Swingin' In the New Year (San Diego), Killer Diller (Seattle), Swing Renaissance and WWOZ Radio in New Orleans, and guested on Yehoodi.com. He has also acted as co-host, director and DJ for a one hour community TV Swing dance promo for Portland Community Media (pcmtv.org).
He comes from England, but his accent is working class Swing.
