..Where It All Began..

THE TENTH ANNIVERSARY

As 1998 was drawing to a close, something happened in San Francisco that was to forever change the worldwide swing scene.

San Francisco was the swing dance capital of the world at the time. 19 dancers from Chicago had heard about the dancing in San Francisco and decided to make a pilgrimage. In doing so they created the world's first Lindy Exchange

Now, ten years later, the exchange calendar is covered with events happening almost every weekend. Since the beginning there have been hundreds of exchanges, but few as epic as the exchanges that have happened where it all began.
